The stone and the giant

Two armies stand on the valley floor,

The giant roars, demanding war,

Clad in bronze, a towering frame,

Mocking the Lord, defiling His name.

“Goliath! Goliath!”

Israel trembles, hearts in fear,

But a shepherd boy is drawing near,

No sword, no spear, no warrior’s might,

Only faith to win the fight.

“Too small… too weak… he cannot stand…”

With staff and sling he faced the foe,

“The Lord of Hosts will strike the blow!

You come with weapons, a shield of pride,

But God Almighty stands at my side!”

“Stand! Fight! In His name!”

The stone and the giant, the weak against the strong,

But the Lord is the victor, He proves the proud wrong,

One strike, one moment, the mighty will fall,

For the battle is the Lord’s, He is ruler of all!

A sling released, the silence broke,

“The giant fell, the earth awoke!”

The sword was raised, the foe was slain,

“The Lord alone forever reigns!”

From shepherd fields to Israel’s throne,

The heart of faith was God’s alone,

The victory came by a single stone,

But the power was His, not man’s own.

“Not by might… nor by power… but by My Spirit…”

“The stone has spoken, the giant is gone!

The Lord is mighty, His name is strong!

Forever His kingdom, forever His reign,

The God of David breaks every chain!”

Dos ejércitos están en el valle,
el gigante ruge, exigiendo guerra,
cubierto de bronce, de cuerpo inmenso,
burlándose del Señor, profanando Su nombre.

“¡Goliat! ¡Goliat!”

Israel tiembla, sus corazones temen,
pero un joven pastor se acerca,
sin espada, sin lanza, sin fuerza de guerrero,
solo fe para ganar la batalla.

“Demasiado pequeño… demasiado débil… no podrá resistir…”

Con su cayado y su honda enfrentó al enemigo,
“¡El Señor de los Ejércitos dará el golpe!
Tú vienes con armas y con orgullo,
¡pero el Dios Todopoderoso está a mi lado!”

“¡Ponte en pie! ¡Lucha! ¡En Su nombre!”

La piedra y el gigante, el débil contra el fuerte,
pero el Señor es el vencedor, humilla al orgulloso.
Un golpe, un instante, el poderoso caerá,
pues la batalla es del Señor, ¡Él gobierna sobre todo!

La honda se soltó, el silencio se rompió,
“¡El gigante cayó, la tierra despertó!”
La espada se alzó, el enemigo fue vencido,
“¡El Señor solo reinará por siempre!”

De los campos de pastor al trono de Israel,
el corazón de fe pertenecía solo a Dios.
La victoria vino por una sola piedra,
pero el poder fue Suyo, no del hombre.

“No por fuerza… ni por poder… sino por Mi Espíritu…”

“¡La piedra ha hablado, el gigante ha caído!
¡El Señor es poderoso, Su nombre es fuerte!
Por siempre Su reino, por siempre Su reinado,
¡el Dios de David rompe toda cadena!”

La letra relata la historia bíblica de David y Goliat (1 Samuel 17), mostrando el contraste entre la fuerza humana y la fe en el poder de Dios.
El gigante representa la soberbia del mundo, la confianza en la carne y las armas; David simboliza la dependencia del Espíritu y la victoria divina sobre lo imposible.
